MANCHESTER, NH -- After being caught in a numbers game at both Quad City and Chicago, goalie Niklas Lundstrom finally got a chance to get into a game today... and took full advantage of the opportunity.

Less than 24 hours after being loaned to the Elmira (NY) Jackals of the ECHL (an affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres) by the Blues, Lundstrom showed no bench rust in allowing just one goal to help lead the Jackals to a 2-1 win in front of over 6400 fans in a matinee game at Manchester.

The Monarchs, the ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, are among the league leaders in shots, averaging over 34 per game. Today, they poured 47 shots on the Jackals' net, and Lundstrom stood tall on all but one.
