The Blues and Blackhawks dislike each other. One is the defending Stanley Cup Champion, the other is a perennially entertaining team that may or may not participate in the playoffs (I am lead to believe that they do). They've hated each other since 1967, and as far as NBCSN's Rivalry Night games go, usually offer the most bang for the buck because both teams are a) actually good and b) really actively hate each other.
This being a national broadcast, I think we all rein in our expectations a bit. This being the second of a back-to-back, I think they get reined more. Factor in the issue with the fog and the Blues not getting into Chicago until 4 AM, and the problem with top players being injured...
Still, the Blues tool three out of five last season, and Kris Versteeg is gone. Marian Hossa is still out tonight, recuperating from a lower body injury.
Let's just enjoy the game, shall we, and let's look forward to a few days off before Saturday's tilt in Nashville.
This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you hate TFUN. You know you do.
Let's do this. Let's Go Blues.
