Blues Activate Kevin Shattenkirk From IR

The defenseman has missed ten games.

Finally.

From the Blues' press release:

Blues defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk has been activated from injured reserve.

Shattenkirk sustained a lower-body injury on Oct. 13 in the Blues' 4-3 against the Calgary Flames. He has missed 10 games with the injury but has continued to skate with the team.

In three games this season, the Blues defenseman has posted one assist and six penalty minutes.

Defenseman Chris Butler was assigned to the Chicago Wolves on Thursday.

As we all know, Shattenkirk is a key power play cog and plays a ton of minutes a night - and the PP hasn't been the same without him. Alex Pietrangelo, I am sure, will also appreciate the weight off of his shoulders.

Now, however, comes the question of who gets bumped to being the consistent seventh man, and who is the defenseman who gets rotated out of the line up?

Of course, for the Blues, who have dealt with ten games sans-Shatt, I doubt that's exactly a huge concern right now.
