The Blues shut out the Central Division leading Dallas Stars Saturday night, 3-0, then lost 3-1 to the Colorado Avalanche despite putting a year-high 44 shots on net.
The Blues ended their homestand with a 2-3 record, which included immensely beatable teams such as the Avs, Maple Leafs, and Flyers. There's no reason that the Blues should leave a five game homestand with four points. Blues fans are frustrated, the coach is frustrated, the players are frustrated.
It's frustrating to be so frustrated.
Maybe a trip to Winnipeg can change those things. The Blues and Jets always play a physical, high tempo, playoff-style of hockey when they meet each other. Hopefully this'll motivate the team to play a full 60 minutes instead of sitting back for the first period. The Jets won't let them.
This is your morning open thread. Check back for some Road Music from CCR, your GDT, and whatever goodies pop up through the course of the day. While you're waiting, head over to our friends at Arctic Ice Hockey and see how they're dealing with a GM that they're frustrated with. Maybe we can share pointers.
