To call Sunday's 3-0 loss to the Dallas Stars disappointing would be an understatement of epic proportions. Brian Elliott made 35 saves in the loss, which could've been far, far worse. Hitch mentioned something about top players coming to play for the Stars, and the Blues' top players apparently took the night off. The spirit was there (Tarasenko and Benn shoving match!) but the sticks weren't working.
Tonight, against the Nashville Predators, the sticks need to work. The Stars are playing the Columbus Blue Jackets, so unless the Blues want to end up 11 behind the Stars at the end of the night, they need to jump on the Preds, who played the New York Rangers last night. Pekka Rinne got the start last night against the Rangers, will the Blues catch a break and see Carter Hutton?
