Wild At Blues Morning Open Thread: Allen, Blues Want To End 2015 On A High Note

Jake Allen will get a crack at the Blues going 2-1 against the Minnesota Wild.

Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

The Wild(s) beat the Blues back on October 10th 3-2, and the Blues returned the favor on Halloween, scaring up a 3-2 overtime game winner from David Backes. Tonight, a regulation win to ring in the New Year would be a great way to send 2015 packing.

The Blues will probably have the same line-up on ice as they did Tuesday. After playing relatively well the entire game, some mental hiccups allowed the Nashville Predators to force overtime. The Blues got out of it with a win, and a couple more points tonight would at the very least help the Blues keep pace with the Dallas Stars. If those points could be in regulation, even better.

Zach Parise will be out tonight thanks to a lower body injury. The line of Fabbri-Lehtera-Jaskin will be in tonight because they were responsible for five points Tuesday evening. I like the odds of a repeat performance.
