GameThread for Toronto Maple Leafs at St. Louis Blues, Dec 5, 2015

The Blues hope to continue their dominance of the Maple Leafs tonight to start a long home stand.

While I hate to rub salt into wounds (because God knows the Blues have enough to rub it in) how about that Alexander Steen trade, eh, Toronto?

Since 2013, Steen has notched ten points against the Leafs. That's ten points in four games. That's pretty good.

He currently sits second on the Blues with 21 points, and some offensive firepower from him and the (probably) back together again line he shares with Paul Stastny and Vladimir Tarasenko would certainly rattle Garret Sparks' cage. Sparks hasn't started since his 6-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets. While I love a good story, and would hate to rain on a kid's parade, tonight is the perfect chance for the Blues to snap out of their extended scoring funk. They're 2-1-0 so far this year on the second of back to back games, so it's not like a win would be out of the ordinary tonight.

This is your gameday thread. Comment like you'd like to see some goals.

Let's do this. Let's Go Blues.
