Steve Ott injured himself while going awkwardly (hello, understatement) into the boards last night. His missed check on (or possible slew foot by) Dion Phaneuf was costly.

Now we get word from the Blues as to the extent of his injuries, and they are not good. No, they are not good. From the team's press release:
(Dec. 6, 2015) – St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General ManagerDoug Armstrong announced today that forward Steve Ott will undergo surgery next week after injuring his hamstrings in last night's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Ott has been placed on injured reserve and will be re-evaluated in three months.
This is Ott's second injury this season, but by far the worst. This will necessitate some line-up tweaking by Ken Hitchcock, and, despite the grief given Ott around these parts, is a tough loss for the Blues.
