Coyotes At Blues Morning Open Thread: Back At It

The Blues have dropped their last two games, but they couldn't ask for a better opponent to play than tonight's.

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Sure, the third period against the Blackhawks on Sunday lacked urgency and drive, and Friday night was just a gong-show of epic proportions, but stuff happens. If there's a way to get off of a brief schneid for the Blues, the Arizona Coyotes are just the trick. The Blues have scored twelve goals in two games against the former team from Phoenix, with Jaden Schwartz then David Backes netting hat tricks (and four and five goals against the Yotes total respectively). Unfortunately both of those tricks were in Glendale. It'd be nice to be treated to one tonight at Scottrade.

Who's your money on? For some reason, I'm feelin' Teej.

This is your morning open thread. Check back for another edition of Game Time Book Club from Rick, your preview, a few goodies here and there, and while you're waiting for the puck to drop, say hi to our friends at Five For Howling. Hopefully they aren't as worn out as the Coyotes probably are after last night's game against the Blackhawks.
