I'm assuming that the Blues held a moment of silence before and after their workout on Wednesday. Why? Apparently, despite a 15-3-1 stretch, the Blues "lament their losses" according to Paul Stastny. While it's never a good idea to get too big for your britches, no one likes a bunch of Debbie Downers either.
"Whenever we lose here, it feels like it’s worrisome," Stastny said. "I think that’s a bad habit that we have to get out of. When we’re doing well, it seems like we’re not winning. When we lose a game, it seems like the end of the world. That’s got to change. It’s a game. You play a bad game, you forget about it. You fix your little mistakes, but tomorrow’s another day and you focus on the next game."
Suck it up. Tuesday night was an embarrassment at home. Play like you know you can.
This is your morning open thread. Check back later for another Memorabilia Memory, this time with a Hall of Famer! While you're waiting on the preview and puck drop, head to Stanley Cup of Chowder and see how our friends Sarah and Cornelius are handling today's game. Sarah may or may not be having an existential crisis under 10 feet of snow.
