GameThread for Pittsburgh Penguins at St. Louis Blues, Feb 21, 2015

The Penguins are having problems keeping up in the Eastern Conference, while the Blues would like to just keep pace in the Central.

You have to look all the way back to the 2009-2010 season and the Chris Mason era of the Blues to find the last time that the Penguins beat the Blues in regulation. Sidney Crosby has never scored a goal against them.

And the Pens pick tonight to "get tough." Well, they may have picked the wrong team to try to beef up their toughness against. I think that the desperation that they feel in being a wild card team, which is not a natural spot for them, might be an issue tonight. If the Blues can stay focused, they may be able to tack a couple points onto their season total and pick up another one on the Predators.

This is your Game Day Thread. Comment like you'd like the winter weather to just take a break already.

Let's do this. Let's go Blues.
