Montreal Canadiens At St. Louis Blues Morning Open Thread: Sleepwalking

The Blues needed a wake up call - did they hit the snooze button on Saturday?

Billy Hurst-USA TODAY Sports

The Montreal Canadiens have been one of the Eastern Conference's top teams all season long. The Blues have a couple of options tonight. Either they learn from whatever Saturday was (ok first period, nap during the second and most of the third, pretending to try at the end), or they continue this stretch of meh play that seems to happen nearly every February like clockwork. I get that they're tired. For 28 days, February is a long month.

Both the Blues and Habs have 38 wins. The Habs have 81 points to the Blues' 80. Whoever draws these teams are going to have a hell of a time in the playoffs, so why not have a playoff atmosphere here in St. Louis tonight? That's up to the Blues and if they decide to show up. Kevin Shattenkirk may be injured, but that's not an excuse for the rest of the team.

This is your morning open thread. Check back in a little bit for your Memorabilia Memories and preview, and don't forget to head to the always excellent Eyes On The Prize before puck drop.
