• The Toronto Maple Leafs sent David Clarkson and his US$5.25-million cap hit to the Blue Jackets for injured winger Nathan Horton. The Devils traded forward Jaromir Jagr to the Panthers for a second-round draft pick in the 2015 NHL Draft and a conditional third-round draft pick in 2016. The Toronto Maple Leafs have reacquired defenceman T.J. Brennan. Toronto sent forward Spencer Abbott to the Blackhawks in exchange for Brennan. [TSN]
• Patric Hornqvist had his stick knocked out of his hands and Sidney Crosby caught in mid-air on his own stick to return it to Hornqvist. [Deadspin]
