Blues At Stars Morning Open Thread: Carpe Diem

Hopefully the Blues will be able to bounce back against the Dallas Stars, who currently occupy last place in the Central Division.

What the hell was that last night? Seriously, what happened, because I was out with friends and missed it.

Oh.

So, Ryan Reaves began on the top line, Patrik Berglund was expected to "get his game back" by playing on the fourth line, and Tim Peel, et. al. are atrocious. Sounds about right. The Blues had 21 shots on goal the second period, and just one went in. Devan Dubnyk has to have sold his soul to someone.

To the best of my knowledge, Kari Lehtonen has not. Twenty-one goals in a period for the Blues would end differently with him in net, I assume, so hopefully that makes it their goal tonight.

The Stars have played the Blues hard this season, losing just once in overtime. Instead of adding to their division lead last night, they frittered away two points last night. Two more points frittered away tonight would not help their cause.

This is your afternoon open thread. Check back for some road music and your GDT, and while you're waiting, make sure you head over to Defending Big D and see what they have to say about tonight's matchup.
