The Blues have scored a paltry eight goals in three games against the Stars this season. Vladimir Tarasenko has half of those goals.
This is a problem.
The last time these two met nearly a month ago, the Stars ran roughshod over the Blues at home, winning 4-1. The time before that, the Stars also defeated the Blues at home, 4-3. Basically, since the Blues are in Dallas tonight, they need to focus on putting Vladimir Tarasenko on every line. Away game + Tarasenko = win, right? That's how this stuff works?
Despite having a disappointing season, the Stars are just six points out of the last playoff spot. Kari Lehtonen has not been playing as well as expected, with a .905 save percentage and a 2.92 GAA. He's allowed 155 goals this year.
The Blues are back beneath the Preds for the division lead. If they fire off as many shots tonight against the Stars as they did against the Wild, chances are good that tie might be a thing again.
This is your gameday thread. Comment like you mean it. Let's do this. Let's go Blues.
