Blues At Maple Leafs Morning Open Thread: Sad Sacks

The Maple Leafs are close to the bottom of the NHL due to an unprecedented implosion.

One has to admit that the Blues have not been playing well recently. We didn't need Thursday night's loss to prove that.

No one was happy afterwards.

Blown tires from Alex Pietrangelo, blown coverage from T.J. Oshie, a blown chance to gain two points on the Nashville Predators, who are practically daring the Blues at this point to capture the top spot in the Conference.

The Blues are 5-4-1 in their last ten. The Leafs are 3-6-1, which seems unusually high considering how massively they've fallen off this year. The rebuild is here, Dave Nonis is in charge, and the best acquisition they landed at the trade deadline was Joakim Lindstrom, though our old friend Eric Brewer is a close second.

This is our morning open thread. Check back later for some Road Music with CCR and your GDT, and don't forget to head over to our friends at Pension Plan Puppets, currently under new (but still presumably jaded) management.
