GameThread for Minnesota Wild at St. Louis Blues, Apr 11, 2015

The Blues and Wild both will be resting some banged up guys tonight, probably.

Jaden Schwartz has five goals and five assists in his last ten games against the Wild. If the Blues face Minnesota in the first round, the Wild may have to keep an eye on him.

They may not have to tonight. Who knows? Jeremy Rutherford brings up this key point:

Minnesota is one of the Blues’ three possible first-round opponents — Chicago and Winnipeg are the others — and Hitchcock does not want to give the Wild any more footage or clues on how they will look in Game 1 of a potential playoff series Wednesday or Thursday.

"I don’t think either team is going to want to show a lot of cards," Hitchcock said. "I don’t think there’s going to be a lot of surprises from what we do and what they do. We’ve played them recently, but we’re not going to show anything we’re going to do, nor are we going to show any of the combinations that we’re going to work with."

Why tip your hand? Though, to be fair, does anyone really know what Ken Hitchcock's hand even is?

This afternoon's game is an NBC broadcast, so brace yourselves. The other NBC broadcast is the Kings/Sharks game, so the A team of broadcasters will probably be on this team.
