I don't think that anyone was pleased with how game one turned out. The Blues were flat footed, slow, indecisive, and unable to generate decent shooting chances until they realized that they were in real danger of losing game one (spoiler: they did).
So, the Blues are rolling out the same line-up as Thursday night, which, if they don't get their druthers about them, may be the last time we see this particular line-up. According to Jeremy Rutherford in yesterday's Morning Skate, the lines will begin this afternoon as they ended yesterday, not with a bang, but with a couple of goals and some intensity that intensified too late.
Dmitrij Jaskin-David Backes-T.J. Oshie
Jaden Schwartz-Paul Stastny-Patrik Berglund
Alexander Steen-Jori Lehtera-Vladimir Tarasenko
Steve Ott-Marcel Goc-Ryan Reaves
Or Hitch could go back to whatever's worked for a vast majority of the season. But naaaaaah, why play with established chemistry when you can thrill to lines that could barely manage a shot on net.
This is your morning open thread. Check back in a bit for some Lighting the Lamp and other game day goodies, and don't forget to say hi to our frenimies at Hockey Wilderness, the happy bastards.
