Five Core Players May Not Be Back Next Season, According To Kelly Chase

This is just Chaser's guess, but it opens up discussion on an important question: who are they?

This was interesting:

So, Kelly Chase is assuming five core players will not be back next season, right after Tom Stillman on KMOX said that there's not much room for knee-jerk reactions. Personally I don't think moving out a couple core players is knee jerk. Five, however, seems a little extreme.

The Blues have to replace these guys. Will they be able to? Many are pretty decent regular season performers who go cold in the playoffs. Shipping out so many people runs the risk that you're ditching potentially decent playoff players. I know that they haven't proven themselves as such, but Hitchcock also hasn't proven himself as a playoff coach since Y2K. Perhaps there's a relationship there.

This could be a very risky move. Doug Armstrong could get back inferior players. New players will be with old guys in learning a whole new system next season, because I'm assuming that Hitch is toast. That shouldn't be an issue. The issue is quality of players in return.

Regardless, out of the core players, who do you expect to see gone?

Vladimir Tarasenko and Jaden Schwartz stay.Jori Lehtera stays put. Kevin Shattenkirk and Alex Pietrangelo are untouchable. Jake Allen isn't going anywhere. Jaskin stays.

Everyone else, to me, is on notice for a fire sale.
