The Dallas Stars *technically* still have a shot at the playoffs. Honestly. I do believe that most Stars fans look at their .09% chance of making it into the playoffs as a sign that next year might be a better one.
The Blues, on the other hand, snapped their losing streak emphatically against what seems like the one Western Conference playoff team that they don't have a problem with. Tonight they're playing the Western Conference non-playoff team that they have issues with. They've won two in Dallas, and Dallas has won two in St. Louis. Unfortunately, Vladimir Tarasenko seems to be the main reason for those two wins, and he's not playing tonight.
The lines that Ken Hitchcock put together last night out of necessity looked sharp, especially that of Jaden Schwartz, Paul Stastny, and T.J. Oshie. It'd be unexpected if fans saw new lines tonight.
The Blues are within two points of the Predators, but just one point ahead of the Blackhawks. A win tonight would be a nice cushion heading into Chicago on Easter afternoon.
This is your morning open thread. Head back later on for some road music, your game preview, and anything else that happens between now and a while from now. While you're waiting on the 7:30 puck drop, make sure you head to Defending Big D.
