BLUES NEWS:

  • The Blues picked OHL defenseman Vince Dunn with the 56th overall pick, their first in the draft. [SLGT]
  • With the 94th overall pick, WHL forward Adam Musil (son of former NHLer Frantisek Musil) was selected. [SLGT]
  • Glenn Gawdin, another WHL forward, was picked 116th overall. [SLGT]
  • Here's a full round-up of all the draft picks, which included Niko Mikkola, Luke Opilka and Liam Dunda. [Blues]

HOCKEY NEWS:

  • The Coyotes acquired Nicklas Grossmann and…uhhhh, Chris Pronger? Yes!…in exchange for Sam Gagner. [Puck Daddy]
  • The Wild will be giving a lot of money to Devan Dubnyk for the next six years. [Puck Daddy]
  • Andong Song became the first Chinese-born player drafted by an NHL team. The Islanders selected him in the sixth round. [Puck Daddy]
  • The Ducks sent James Wisniewski to the Hurricanes in exchange for Anton Khudobin. [CBS Sports Eye on Hockey]
  • THAT made room for the Canes to acquire Eddie Lack from the Canucks for draft picks. [CBS Sports Eye on Hockey]
  • The Stars sent a sixth-round pick to the Sharks for the rights to Antti Niemi, who will be a UFA come July 1st. The Blues did very well against Niemi last year. [CBS Sports Eye on Hockey]
  • The Rangers were active, sending Carl Hagelin and two picks to the Ducks for Emerson Etem and a pick, then shipping Cam Talbot and a pick to the Oilers for three more picks. [CBS Sports Eye on Hockey]
