"You're still HERE?!"

BLUES NEWS:

  • Brian finished up the profiles for the rest of the Blues' draft picks . . . defenseman Niko Mikkola [SLGT], goaltender Luke Opilka [SLGT] and winger Liam Dunda [SLGT]. Profiles for defenseman Vince Dunn, center Adam Musil and center Glenn Gawdin were posted Saturday.
  • The Kings appear ready to buy out Mike Richards' contract. Should the Blues sign him? (No, probably not.) [SLGT]

HOCKEY NEWS:

  • The Stanley Cup made an appearance at the Chicago Pride Parade, getting its' own float. Nice. [Puck Daddy]
  • 10 notable UFA's. I would love to have Joel Ward on my team, but is he #Reckless enough? [CBS Sports Eye on Hockey]
  • The Hockey Hall of Fame class will be headed by Nicklas Lidstrom . . . but I think we knew that. [USA Today]
  • The always-insightful Elliotte Friedman and his 30 Thoughts following the draft. [Sportsnet]
  • This trade didn't get much play, but I found it interesting . . . the Maple Leafs acquired Martin Marincin from the Oilers for a prospect and a pick. Seems like a minor steal. [TSN]
  • Another player placed on waivers with intent to buy out . . . Canadiens forward P.A. Parenteau, whom I'd probably rather have than Mike Richards. [Eyes on the Prize]
  • So this piece slaughters the job Don Sweeney did during the draft, assassinates the character of Dougie Hamilton AND has a quote from "St. Louis Blues president John Davidson". The Boston hockey MSM is a motherfucking trainwreck. [Boston Herald]

OTHER SHIT:

  • The Space X mission failed. Chris Kerber was there. There's gotta be some kind of Blues metaphor here. [Blues]
  • Bassist and cofounding member of the band Yes, Chris Squire, passed away Saturday at age 67. [NPR]
  • Yes, I would like an X-Wing coffee table. [Nerdist]
  • Meet the world's ugliest dog! [CBC]
  • Ummmmmmmmmm . . . Orbit, I think you're doing wrong. [Deadspin]
  • A truck carrying bees tipped near Coeur d'Alene, ID yesterday. Well that'll be fun. [Y! / AP]
