Blues vs. Blue Jackets Split Squad Morning Thread: Preseason!

Finally, hockey. Or, really, "hockey."

Russell LaBounty-USA TODAY Sports

Yes, I realize that preseason games are evaluative things. What PTO guys play tough enough to crack the roster, if any? Which prospects get a long look? Which get sent packing right off of the bat? Who is playing in the three-on-three?

One of the two games tonight will be three-on-three, and it will be the Brad Shaw coached squad in Columbus. Ken Hitchcock will be behind the bench tonight in St. Louis, checking to see which of the young kids demonstrate top buy-in potential. From the Blues' website, here are the rosters for each game:

Home Game Roster: Spencer Asuchak, David Backes, Ivan Barbashev, Jay Bouwmeester, Chris Butler, Jordan Caron, Pheonix Copley, Jacob Doty, Brian Elliott, Robby Fabbri, Petteri Lindbohm, Steve Ott, Colton Parayko, Alex Pietrangelo, Jaden Schwartz, Paul Stastny, Alexander Steen, Vladimir Tarasenko, Evan Trupp, and Thomas Vannelli.

Away Game Roster: Jake Allen, Cody Beach, Jordan Binnington, Samuel Blais, Kyle Brodziak, Troy Brouwer, Pat Cannone, Vince Dunn, Joel Edmundson, Scott Gomez, Carl Gunnarsson, Peter Harrold, Justin Hodgman, Dmitrij Jaskin, Danny Kristo, Magnus Paajarvi, Ty Rattie, Jordan Schmaltz, Kevin Shattenkirk and Scottie Upshall.

Check back later on for any updates that may come our way, and a couple of GDTs for you to pick your poison with tonight. The Blues' website will be updating live scoring for the home game, and CBJ's will be updating for the away.
