One of the things training camp and pre-season hockey is most useful for, is giving young guys a taste of the pros before they start their junior season. The Blues will have six players who are just a little more experienced next year, and their junior teams will be able to build on what they learned during their toe dip at the pro level.
From the Blues' press release:
St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has released six players back to their junior clubs, including Samuel Blais (Victoriaville), Liam Dunda (Owen Sound), Glenn Gawdin (Swift Current), Adam Musil (Red Deer), Luke Opilka (Kitchener) and C.J. Yakimowicz (London).
Only Blais got a chance to play in a pre-season game, last night's 3-1 away loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
