Blues Well Represented In NHL 16's Player Ratings

The only category where a member of the team doesn't place in the top 10 is centers.

For those of you who look forward to EA Sports' latest installment in the NHL series, I'm sure that September 15th is circled on your calendar and your alternative packaging artwork is already drawn up to replace Jonathan Toews being on the cover yet again (thankfully, solo).

EA Sports released their player ratings yesterday, and the Blues are reasonably represented. Among defensemen, Alex Pietrangelo ranks 10th, though he's basically tied overall with Kevin Shattenkirk, so I like to think the Blues round out the top ten with two players rated at a 90 overall.

For left wingers, Alexander Steen comes in ninth place at an 88 overall. He inexplicably appears to have Wolverine-like facial hair, proving that there is a Toews-creep into many facets of this game.

Vladimir Tarasenko is the third-best right winger in the game according to EA, bested only by Patrick Kane and Corey Perry. Just a point in the ratings separates Tarasenko from two players that practically no one likes. Popularity alone should vault Vladdy into first place. Tarasenko also ranks as the 29th best available overall player in the game.
