So, the Blues haven't been playing well this year. Wednesday night's 4-3 overtime loss to the Colorado Avalanche appeared to be a touch of #roarbacon. Just a smidge. Down one goal, the Blues scored three unanswered and appeared to be within site of the year's first win.
And then no. But there was still overtime!
No.
The first game in ages that the Blues seemed to be ready to compete - even strength goals! Two of them! - they were undone. Is it anxiety? Is the workload catching up to Jake Allen? Do we need to hire a few sports psychologists to come in and have a chat with the guys?
Who knows. Anaheim's climbing up the standings. They're not the weak team that started the season. The Blues' road trip isn't going to get any easier. They might as well make it harder on their opponents.
