Saturday night saw a potential Blues blowout turn into a nailbiter. The defense looked lax, Jake Allen was lackisdasial, and it appeared that the Calgary Flames' reputation of not being a very good team this season had caught up with the Blues, who took their foot off of the gas.
Thankfully, David Perron (!) was there to bail the team out with a hat trick, and Alexander Steen, Patrik Berglund, and Paul Stastny were there to lend a hand as well. The offense, anemic in Vancouver and Edmonton, came alive in Calgary.
Can they come alive against the Flames again tonight?
This is your morning open thread. Check back later on for a Lighting the Lamp, your game preview, and the gameday thread. While you're waiting to find out if Brian Elliott gets the start tonight (just in time for a thank you video, I'm sure!), head over to our friends at Matchsticks and Gasoline and say hi.
