For the past two games, Kevin Shattenkirk has been the Blues' offensive output. This is a problem.
Despite the Blues' six goal explosion last Saturday, they haven't been able to find their offense since their plane landed in Vancouver. Perhaps they lost it while their plane was being loaded up. Maybe it fell out somewhere on the tarmac. Wherever it is, someone needs to find it ASAP.
Tonight, the Los Angeles Kings are in town. Jonathan Quick is out for the foreseeable future after being injured on October 12th. Despite that, the Kings are 4-3-0 - but every one of their wins took extra time. So, the rule of tonight needs to be no more overtime. No 1500 round shootout (though maybe at that length we might see Jaden Schwartz). Take advantage of the fact that Peter Budaj is their goalie.
Just do something.
This is your morning (ish) open thread. Check back soon for a Lighting the Lamp, your preview, and your GDT. While you're waiting, head over to Jewels From The Crown and ask them if they're doing ok about Quick. I think the crisis mode's on the wane. Maybe.
