Here Are The Blues’ Projected Lines Against The Blue Jackets

They’re... something

NHL: St. Louis Blues at Florida Panthers Robert Mayer-USA TODAY Sports

From the Blues’ official site, here’re tonight’s projected lines. Nail Yakupov sits in favor of Ryan Reaves, which I am absolutely certain will boost the team’s lagging goal production.

Forwards

Alexander Steen - Patrik Berglund - David Perron

Jaden Schwartz - Jori Lehtera - Vladimir Tarasenko

Robby Fabbri - Paul Stastny - Dmitrij Jaskin

Scottie Upshall - Kyle Brodziak - Ryan Reaves

Defense

Jay Bouwmeester - Alex Pietrangelo

Carl Gunnarsson - Kevin Shattenkirk

Joel Edmundson - Colton Parayko

Goalie

Carter Hutton

I’m not sure how refusing to have Paul Stastny center Vladimir Tarasenko continues to be a thing. What explains these lines? According to Ken Hitchcock, as quoted in this morning’s Bluenotes, he saw something he liked... for 25 minutes of Thursday’s game.

“I saw some stuff I liked,” coach Ken Hitchcock said Friday. “There’s a lot of things I liked, but we’ve got to continue to get more and more minutes on it. You can’t win in this league when you’re getting 25 minutes. We need a little more. A lot of things I liked for 25 minutes. A lot.”
