Tampa Bay Lightning at St.Louis Blues Morning Thread

Bolts eager to end three game losing streak, Blues trying to close the gap on Chicago in the Central.

The Lightning (13-10-1) head to Scottrade to face off against the Blues (13-7-3), and Tampa will be without goal-machine Steven Stamkos who suffered a lateral meniscus tear in November. The Bolts have lost their last 3 games straight, and are 3-4 since the Stamkos injury.

St.Louis has won 6 out of their last 7, and are currently sitting at second place in the hotly contested Central Division, trailing the Chicago Blackhawks by four points in the standings. Thanks to Fabbri and Perron, mostly, we haven’t had to endure as many scoreless periods lately, but Tampa plays a tight defensive game, and offense could be hard to come by.

Let’s ask the important questions here, though. Which third jersey is worst?

Those waves are spooky
Why stop at three trumpets? GO FOR FIVE

Granted, the Blues’ never actually wore this tirefire of a jersey (allegedly because of Mike Keenan’s objections, which is literally the only decent decision Iron Mike ever made in St.Louis), but it is widely considered to be the worst alternate uniform of all time.

This is your morning open thread. Check back later on for a Lighting the Lamp from Rick, your preview, and your GDT. While you're waiting, head over to Raw Charge and chirp them with the force of a thousand suns.
