The less said about Tuesday night's loss to the Nashville Predators the better. I missed the game, fortunately, so I can't really offer an assessment of what went wrong. I can, however, offer an assessment of the score alerts I got all night long.
How in the hell does that happen?
The Blues tonight face off against the New Jersey Devils, who they've already beaten once this season. They're also back at home, where they sport a shiny 12-1-3 home record. Perhaps that'll help them get back over the Minnesota Wild and back into second place in the division.
Their sloppy road play is costing them points and standing-padding. Their home record is the reason they're in a playoff spot to begin with. Not every post-season game's going to be in Scottrade, guys. Get points while you can in St. Louis, but you need to get them on the road, too.
This is your morning open thread. We have three home games before the Blues trek back out to Dallas on December 20th. Check back later on for a Lighting the Lamp, your game preview, and your GDT. While you're waiting on the puck to drop, head to All About The Jersey and see if they're still digging the Taylor Hall deal.
