Blues At Stars Morning Open Thread: On The Road Again

The Blues blew a lead last night; can they please manage to not do that again tonight?

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

I may have mentioned in last night's preview that the Blues needed to focus on clamping down on their play during the third period.

They did not do that last night, leading to a last minute goal by Patrick Maroon in which he outworked Carl Gunnarsson to score his 9th goal of the season. The defense wasn't sharp (again), Carter Hutton alternated between breathtaking saves and terrifying passes to the opposition.

Tonight Jake Allen's back in net. The defense could be better. Goaltending could be sharper. Vladimir Tarasenko will probably add a couple of points to his Art Ross race, because that's just what he does against the Stars.

This is your morning open thread. Check back a bit later on for a preview from JMill, your GDT, and whatever else strikes us. Head over to Defending Big D and say hi to the nice folks over there, and get ready for tonight's game by placing your pizza orders accordingly.
