Official Game Time Saturday Tailgate Details

Attending the Alumni Game? Come tailgate with us

Hello friends of Game Time. The outdoor games are almost upon us. And maybe the rain on Monday, but that’s a different conversation because right now we’re talking about tailgating for the Alumni Game Saturday.

I’m going to be set up in the lot across the street from Paddy O’s (west of the stadium and just south of Interstate 64/Highway 40). I will have with me the illustrious @HitchsHat from Twitter fame, other Game Time writers/readers and who knows who else. You might just meet some semi-famous folks.

We will be arriving in the lot at 10 a.m. The game starts at 1:30 p.m. , gates open at 11:30 p.m. So plenty of time for some horsing around and getting inside to look around before introductions. We’ll probably start walking over around 12:45 p.m. (but that could change based on the lines we can see from our spot).

Here’s what we will have: #shots4goals, three pop-up tents in case of inclement weather, some chairs, Blues-themed cornhole and a few cold beverages.

Here’s what you can bring: Food for yourself and maybe to share if you’d like, up to you. If you want a specific cold beverage, bring it along. Bring some friends. We’ll have some copies of the paper available.

St. Louis is no longer an NFL city. We don’t have a lot of experience tailgating when it’s cold, so we aren’t super prepared for fire or cooking stuff. Our popular playoff tailgates didn’t have a lot of food, it was mostly about #shots4goals and cold beverages. Why mess with a good thing?

We’ve had a really busy week, putting together four papers in four days. Saturday we’ll be past that and I’m hoping to relax and blow off some steam. Please, come joins us and say hello.

More details will be posted online today about where to get the paper at Busch Stadium as well as our event Sunday night with Puck Daddy (looking forward to that one - no planning on my part!).

Let us know in the comments if you’re coming.
