Predators Vs. Blues Recap: Blues Penalty, Two Minutes, Not Showing Up.

But hey the Winter Classic right?!

Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

Blues Lineup:

Forwards: Jaden Schwartz/Paul Stastny/David Perron, Jori Lehtera/Alexander Steen/Vladimir Tarasenko, Robby Fabbri/Patrik Berglund/Dmitrij Jaskin, Scottie Upshall/Kyle Brodziak/Ryan Reaves

Defensemen: Joel Edmundson/Alex Pietrangelo, Carl Gunnarsson/Kevin Shattenkirk, Jay Bouwmeester/Colton Parayko

Goaltender: Jake Allen

Predators Game Highlights:

The Blues took on the Nashville Predators tonight at Scottrade. More like the Blues went through the motions, but couldn't even do that well. Picking up the action in the second period, Nashville makes it 1-0 on a shot from the top of the faceoff circle. Different Weber, but same result. Yannick beats Allen.

The Predators make it 2-0 on a powerplay chance. After a lucky bounce of Steen's fat foot, Filip Forsberg makes it 2-0.

Not only were the Blues shooting themselves in the foot by taking dumb penalties, but they weren't able to solve Nashville's starter Juuse Saros.

Back to the second period now, Viktor Arvidsson just makes everyone look foolish on this play. Viktor moves around Bouwmeester, avoids the Allen poke check, and nets the puck for a 3-0 Predators lead.

Carter Hutton comes in for the third period and I'm not sure if two goalies could have stopped Colin Wilson on this rebound. Put us out of our misery Mr. Wilson.

The aforementioned Hutton got the only Blues highlight of the night making a save on the aforementioned Wilson.

Blues lose 4-0. Everyone and everything was awful. BUT WINTER CLASSIC RIGHT.
