Allow me to apologize for the tardiness of today's game day stream. I forgot that there was a game tonight, much like it appears that the Blues forget that there're games when they're not playing in St. Louis.
The New Jersey Devils are undefeated at The Rock and are 12-8-6 overall for 30 points. By virtue of playing in the stacked Atlantic Division, they're three points behind the Capitals for the last wild card spot in the East. They're 3-4-3 in their last ten, so like the Islanders last night, they're very beatable.
Of course, you also have to remember that the Blues didn't beat the Islanders last night, so now they're a disappointing 3-7-1 on the road. This is an inexcusable record for a playoff seeded team to have, and it needs to get fixed, fast.
Last night, that didn't happen. Tonight the Blues have to deal with long-time Devil Travis Zajac and recent addition Taylor Hall.
This is your morning (ish) open thread. Check back for your preview, your GDT, and whatever else tickles our fancy. Say high to our buds at All About The Jersey (formerly In Lou We Trust), and do a beer run now, because tonight's puck drop is at 6:30 Central.
