Sharks At Blues Morning Open Thread: Steen Injury Throws Lines Up In The Air

New, comments

What will Ken Hitchcock come up with tonight?

Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome back, Dmitrij Jaskin! Welcome back as well to Ken Hitchcock's Line Blender, presumably. After finding some consistency, the line-up has been shaken up with Alexander Steen's injury. So, what's next? Creativity and making due for the next month, which is fairly old hat for the Blues, who have seen key player after key player fall to injury. Currently Steen and Alex Pietrangelo are out (and Steve Ott, who I guess is key?), which is making things difficult for the Blues. Yet, thanks to Brian Elliott, they continue to eke out wins. Saturday evening, the Blues exploded for six goals against the Coyotes. That may be harder to pull off tonight against the San Jose Sharks.

It's a national broadcast NBCSN game tonight, too. Adjust your DVRs accordingly!

This is your morning open thread. Check back later on for today's Lighting the Lamp, your game preview, and tonight's GDT with a link to watch if you're not at home. While you're waiting for puck drop, head over to our friends at Fear The Fin and see with how they're dealing with the Pacific Division race.
