Hitchcock To Slot Paajarvi Into Steen's Spot

Here're tonight's lines, from Jeremy Rutherford of the Post-Dispatch.

John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

As noted by the Post-Dispatch's Jeremy Rutherford, the lines tonight are the following:

Jaden Schwartz-Jori Lehtera-Vladimir Tarasenko

Robby Fabbri-Paul Stastny-Troy Brouwer

Patrik Berglund-David Backes-Magnus Paajarvi

Scottie Upshall-Kyle Brodziak-Ryan Reaves

Jay Bouwmeester-Kevin Shattenkirk

Carl Gunnarsson-Colton Parayko

Joel Edmundson-Robert Bortuzzo

Brian Elliott

Sayth Hitchcock:

"I like the chemistry of Stastny's line," Hitchcock said, "and obviously Lehtera's line, they've been together a long time. We're not going to reinvent the wheel. We haven't had a hockey practice yet, so we'll get a better evaluation. This is a real good test for us. Both these teams play a similar style, both are really playing well. So we'll get a real good test and evaluation today and then kind of see if we've got to make some adjustments starting tomorrow."

The wheel will probably be reinvented by halfway through the first period. Here's to hoping the rest of the lines are fine and no major changes are needed. Jaskin could suit playing with Berglund and Backes better than Paajarvi does, however, so it's interesting to see 56 get into the lineup over one of Berglund's old line-mates who he was relatively successful with.
