Lynx Links: "WE'RE GOING TO NATIONALS" Edition!!!

Hey y'all!!! Well the regular season is over for both hockey teams at Lindenwood University-Belleville and there is lots of exciting news.

First with the ladies...this past weekend, the Lady Lynx took part this past weekend in the Western Women's College Hockey League (WWCHL) tournament played in Boulder, Colorado. Despite suffering a loss in the opening pool play game with the hosts, the Lady Lynx showed uncommon heart and determination, battling back to win three consecutive games to take home the crown and an automatic bid to the ACHA Women's Division I National Championship Tournament in Kalamazoo, Michigan to be played March 9-13. Wanna read all about the Lady Lynx triumph (of course you do)...then go here!!!!

While the men are without a conference, they as well wrapped up play this weekend, travelling to Nebraska to face off with the Division I team of Midland College. Two victories later, and the Lynx have completed a spectacular 29-4 regular season. The ACHA Men's Division II National Championships will be held in West Chester, PA March 18-22. To read about the latest exploits, please go to this webpage right here!!!

Now, naturally, with an event as big as a National Championship Tournament you would expect even more excellent coverage and Ol JStats will not let you down. As of now the plan is for a preview article for each championship along with articles recapping each game in the tournament, along with the extremely strong possibility of on the site reporting from at minimum the men's national tournament (it's budget things...we all know how that can go). None the less, while the regular season is completed we are far from done in #LynxNation!!!

P.S. If you want to follow the teams on twitter please add @LUBellevilleMIH and @LUBellevilleWIH Thanks for reading everybody!!!
