Blues At Predators Morning Open Thread: Greetings From Nashville

The Blues need to shake off a two game losing streak, while the Predators just took down the Blackhawks. Will the Blues gain any ground on the Central tonight?

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

The last time that the Blues and Preds met in Nashville back on February 2nd, the Blues needed just a goal to win. That goal came in the third period, with 1:05 left, and courtesy of Troy Brouwer. A win is a win, be it 1-0 or 6-3.

Let's just say that the Blues may be more focused on the former than the latter. Brian Elliott is out for four weeks, Alexander Steen has three weeks or so left. Alex Pietrangelo is a maybe for today, but the Blues still need to clamp down tight on the Preds. Their Nashville shutout streak might continue, but the effort that the Blues will have to put out to keep it going tonight will be high.
