Sharks At Blues Morning Open Thread: Scoring Woes Continue

This is the Blues' first home game in a while. Will the home crowd be treated to more than a goal?

Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Brian Elliott has slipped back into his traditional role of bacon saver for the Blues. The Blues have scored four goals in their last four games, and they're 2-1-1 somehow, and were very nearly 3-1-0. Elliott's improved his record to 11-6-5, and even that doesn't show how well he's been playing. His lowest save percentage in the last five games was .920, where he stopped 23 of 25 shots against the Blackhawks in the Blues' 2-0 loss on January 22nd.

These are some decent stats:

So, what of the rest of the team? Line scrambling, additions to the line up, you name it, nothing seemed to help until the end of the third period Tuesday night. The Blues should get reinforcements on Saturday when Jaden Schwartz (hopefully) returns, but for now they need to make due with what they have, and what they have need to get their scoring asses in gear.

This is your morning open thread. Check back a little later for a Lighting the Lamp. your preview, and your GDT. While you're waiting, head to Fear The Fin and tell them how cute you think Brent Burns' kids are.
