Vladimir Tarasenko plays pretty good hockey. This week, the NHL recognized his good work by naming him the first star of the week. Tarasenko has been a key piece in the Blues rise back to the top of the Western Conference. He netted three goals and three assists in three games to boost the Blues' chances of home ice in the playoffs. His standout game was Friday night's 5-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks, in which he netted two goals and an assist; this was followed up with a goal and assist Saturday night in Dallas.

This year is Tarasenko's second thirty-goal year in a row; he has 61 points in 68 games played this season.
