This week the Blues put their 6-game winning streak up against the bottom of the league standings. First round is Cal and Gary, those lovable fellas from the south end of Alberta. The Flames website has some great pre-game videos, including this one with their starting goalie Joni Ortio (.898 sv percentage):

Also, the Flames will be missing two cogs in Sam Bennett and T.J. Brodie. They do have Dennis Wideman back, however. The former Blues player had his suspension reduced to 10 games, although he had already missed 19. He'll be reimbursed those missed game checks, and is just hoping to get back into the groove. Meanwhile, the Blues are hoping to take sole position of first place tonight. Old buddy Magnus Paajarvi slots into the lineup, and Dmitrij Jaskin takes a seat. And of course, Vladimir Tarasenko is sitting on 99 goals in his career and primed for the big 100. Accomplishing that would contribute to the first goal - getting the win.
