The Boston Bruins are smack dab in the middle of the NHL's standings. After a weak start to the season, they picked up the pace, but that pace's cooled off. David Krejci and Dennis Seidenberg are questionable for tonight, they're 1-6-0 in their last seven games, they've scored only 10 goals in that timespan, and despite being in third place in the Atlantic Division, they stand a very real risk of falling out of the playoff picture.
Tonight's kind of a big deal for the Bruins; for the Blues, it's a chance to rack up more points.
Of course, since the return of Alexander Steen, the law of averages has decided to take away Robby Fabbri for a game or two, and Jay Bouwmeester is also questionable for this evening. Carl Gunnarsson is also still out. But hey, Steve Ott may return soon.
