Blues At Blackhawks Game Three Morning Open Thread: Shake It Off

New, comments

The Blues had a couple calls not go in their favor on Friday night. Are the calls still in the team's heads?

Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY Sports

The last time these two teams met at the United Center a little over a week ago, it ended in a 2-1 Blues victory, in overtime. Games between these two teams have been decided on a razor's edge all season long. Game one was the matter of a flukey play giving the Blues the win, game two was the matter of a couple calls not going the Blues way.

Speaking of those calls, I think it's fair to have concerns that whatever happened Friday night might be a distraction this afternoon:

Oy.

I will give Hitch the benefit of the doubt here and assume that he's being glib, that no, he doesn't actually expect make-up calls today. But for the love of pete, drop it at this point. To quote Scarlett O'Hara, tomorrow is another day, and this is the Blues' tomorrow. Go out there, keep up the increased shots on goal, don't do anything rash, and win. That's all we hope for.

Well, maybe we should hope for a miracle.

This is your morning open thread. Check back later on for some Road Music: Playoff Edition from CrossCheck Raise, your GDT shortly before 2:00 pm (look! A decent start time!) and whatever else may catch our eye between now and then.
