It's time for the talking heads at ESPN to predict round 2 of the NHL playoffs. ESPN, as many of you are aware, regards hockey as a lesser sport, and often barely talk about it. For this very reason, I often disregard any predictions they make. That being said lets take a look at how they did in round 1.
Name: | East | West | Total |
Buccigross | 3-1 | 3-0 | 6-1 |
Burnside | 3-1 | 3-0 | 6-1 |
Cohn | 2-2 | 1-2 | 3-4 |
Custance | 3-1 | 3-0 | 6-1 |
Grant | 2-2 | 1-2 | 3-4 |
Kavanagh | 2-2 | 1-2 | 3-4 |
LeBrun | 3-1 | 1-2 | 4-3 |
Levy | 2-2 | 1-2 | 3-4 |
McDonald | 3-1 | 1-2 |
4-3 |
Melrose | 1-3 | 1-2 | 2-5 |
Their round 1 predictions range from very good in Buccigross's 6-1 to very bad in Melrose's 2-5. Only 2 of the 10 picked Dallas to top the Blues in round 2. Those 2 were Burnside and Levy. This makes it a mixed bag. One of the better round 1 predictors, Burnside (6-1) and one of the worst round 1 predictors, Levy (3-4) picked the Stars.
