Blues At Avalanche Morning Open Thread: Stastny Leads The Charge

The Blues' center is ending the regular season on a hot streak.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Paul Stastny has benefited from centering Robby Fabbri and Troy Brouwer - in his last 11 games played, he has 16 points, which leads the league. Unfortunately, yet again, Fabbri will be sitting out tonight's game with a lower body injury, and there's no word if it will be Magnus Paajarvi or Dmitrij Jaskin taking over in his role tonight.

Jake Allen will be starting against the Avs tonight, leaving Brian Elliott the start tomorrow night against the Coyotes If Allen and the Blues defeat Colorado, it'll be one of the final nails in the Avalanche's coffin for the season. Unable to take advantage of recent losses by the Wild, it's beginning to look more and more like the Avs will be sitting the postseason out again this year.

This is your morning open thread. Check back for some Road Music from CCR, and head over to Mile High Hockey while you're waiting on the late Sunday game to start. Wake up from your baseball comas - it's a NBCSN game.
