The latest Bovada odds have been published, and the Blues have gone from 14/1 odds to win the Stanley Cup to 9/1 odds. Based on their recent string of excellent play (8-2 in their last 10), outstanding goaltending, and overall optimism around the team right now, this is probably a move in the right direction for oddsmakers.
On the flip side, they still have the Washington Capitals as the odds on Cup favorites, and the Hawks' odds have taken a tumble. This makes me wonder if they take recent history/franchise futility into consideration (spoiler: they don't). Here are the odds for the current playoff and bubble teams:
Odds to win the 2016 Stanley Cup

Washington Capitals 9/2 17/4
Los Angeles Kings
Chicago Blackhawks
Anaheim Ducks
Dallas Stars 10/1 9/1
Pittsburgh Penguins 20/1 9/1
St. Louis Blues 14/1 9/1

Tampa Bay Lightning 12/1 20/1
Detroit Red Wings

Nashville Predators
New York Islanders
Philadelphia Flyers 50/1 28/1

Here are the odds to win the Western Conference - this isn't regular season, this is the playoffs:

Chicago Blackhawks 15/4
Anaheim Ducks 5/1
Dallas Stars 11/2

Is everyone ready for that Caps/Kings Stanley Cup Final?
