Sometimes, heading into a playoff series, it's easy to say "it's just too close to predict!" This time, it really may be too close to predict who will win this series. Both the Sharks and the Blues have been playing like madmen to make it to this point. Both teams want a chance to be closer to a trophy that they've never won. Both teams are big and physical, solid on the power play, and have been getting excellent goaltending.
The Blues, however, have had to play through much tougher competition than the Sharks have. This could either give them the edge, or it could mean that they're getting tired. The Sharks also haven't seen the Blues' full line-up all year. As close as they got to that was Brian Elliott's masterful 1-0 shutout of San Jose on March 22nd.
The Blues aren't the underdogs anymore. It's ok to be excited. It's ok to ask "Why not the St. Louis Blues?" At this point of the playoffs, why the hell not them?
This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you want to be seven wins away after tonight.
Let's do this.
Let's Go Blues.
