"Do you know what the playoffs need? More Magnus Paajarvi." -- no one.
Well, no one but Ken Hitchcock. From Jeremy Rutherford, here're tonight's projected lines:
Forwards
Jaden Schwartz-Jori Lehtera-Vladimir Tarasenko
Robby Fabbri-Paul Stastny-Troy Brouwer
Patrik Berglund-Alexander Steen-David Backes
Scottie Upshall-Kyle Brodziak-Magnus Paajarvi
Defensemen
Jay Bouwmeester-Alex Pietrangelo
Kevin Shattenkirk-Robert Bortuzzo
Carl Gunnarsson-Colton Parayko
Goalie
Brian Elliott
This isn't 100% a done deal, yet. It is interesting that Dmitrij Jaskin, who has scored a game winning goal this postseason, isn't being called out of the pressbox. The last game Robert Bortuzzo played in, he looked like he was skating through sludge. As Rutherford notes, the Blues are 1-3 with him in the line-up. Magnus Paajarvi hasn't played a game since the season finale, or 40 days.
