Last night, in Tampa Bay, the Pittsburgh Penguins staved off elimination in a very big way. Their 5-2 win over the Lightning was more than a series extender, it was an exclamation point in which their top producers produced. Sidney Crosby had a goal and an assist. Evgeny Malkin had an assist. Phil "American Hero" Kessel potted the first goal of the game. Nick Bonino had a goal and an assist. The series returns to Pittsburgh on Friday night.
Will we be typing something similar about the Blues after game six tonight? Will the return to Brian Elliott in net have the same effect on the Blues that going back to Matt Murray did for the Penguins? The Blues have lost only one game a series on the road. Tonight isn't the night to change that trend. They absolutely owned the Sharks in the first two periods of game four; can that team please show up for all three periods?
This is your morning open thread. Post your predictions, doom-filled or not, here. Check back later on for CCR and some Road Music, your usual post about how and where to watch the game, and your GDT.
